Since the Society was organized some forty-one orplians and friendless children have been provided f-r, many of them being in a mosr destitute condition upon their arrival at the Homo. We have found homes for thirteen in worthy families, where they are well cared for: some have been taken by relative, only one dying while at the Home; ten have been indentured to the Society by their fathers.

We feel that it is part of oar mission to visit the motherless as well as fatherless in their afflictions and even to open our doors to the little waifa, otherwise thrown upon the cold charities of the world, with no one to love or protect tin m. But with religions training and aid from the well regulated public schools now in our city, we hope to make of them men and women to help support and adorn onr State, instead of rilling our prison and disreputable houses. Sevent-en of this number have ben nnder our care during the past year, eleven re-mainining there now. We were fortunate in finding exeellent homes for fonr children during Fair week. The following ia the report of the Chairman of the Furnishing Comaiittee.
