A Style as as TOMORROW Spinsters Will Hold Annual Charity Ball Spinsters are' busy with plans fortheir annual Christmas char ity ball which will be an event of Saturday, Dec. 19 in the Gold Room of the Marion Hotel. The ball is always one 'of the social highlights of the holiday season. Proceeds from the affair will be used to aid the philanthropic group's new project, the children's library at the State School for the Blind. Hansen received his degree in botany from Oregon State College and served with the navy during World ar II and the Korean conflict. He took graduate work in marine biology at Oregon State College, the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology and the University of California and in medical technology at the National Naval Medical Center, Beth-seda, Maryland. He is connected with the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey and recently returned from a six months tour of duty in the Aleutian Chain and Bering Sea. June Smith of Woodburn. Miss Margeuite Belleque of Portland, a granddaughter, was in charge of the guest book. Cutting the cake were two granddaughters, Mrs. Dolores Parsons of Newberg and Mrs. Mary Belleque of Gervais.

Two nieces, Mrs. Josephine (Belleque) Richardson and Mrs. Justine (Belleque) Wolfe poured. At the gift table was another granddaughter, Mrs. Bernice Barnett of Portland, assisted by Miss Janice Guenther of Woodburn.

Assisting about the rooms were the three daughter-in-laws Mrs. Elmer Belleque of Newberg, Mrs. Corey Belleque of Portland and Mrs. Albert Belleque of Gervais and Mrs. Lila Collier.

Music was furnished by Miss Leta Stevens of Salem on the accordion, Clausen Clark of Newberg, guitar, and Randy Lowe ef Portland, guitar. About 250 persons called to congratulate the couple during the afternoon. The Belleque's were married in the St Louis Catholic Church, November 25, 1903. They have four children, 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Mr.

Belleque is the grandson of Pierre Belleque of Assumption Canada, one of the first Hudson Bay men to settle here in Oregon at French Prairie (Cham-poeg) about 1820. Pierre's wife was Genevieve St. Martin, a daughter of the then factor of old Fort Vancouver.
