15, 1906 June 4, 1997 SUBLIMITY Eva N. M. Young, 91, died Wednesday. Born and raised in Mossville, taken into custody about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Moreno, reportedly the gunman, turned himself in to the police department at 8 p.m., Bolek said. She said the victim of the robbery was a 17-year-old Yamhill boy who had taken $557 from his parents. District Attorney Bradley C. Berry said the misdemeanor charges carry a term of up to 2 years and 1 month in jail. Williams is scheduled to be sentenced July 7 by District Judge Wayne R. Harris.

Berry said Williams' relationship with the girl began early in 1996 when she was 16 and continued through March of this year. Williams, who had worked at Dayton High for 10 years, re Albany: Police arrest 3 after robbery at bakery Albany police arrested three teen-agers within a few minutes after a robbery was reported at Mary Anna Bakery, 210 First Ave. SW. Police said a man indicated that he had a knife and demanded money from the clerk shortly before 8 a.m. Responding officers stopped Patrick James Zirkel, 19, of Albany, walking east on Second Avenue about three blocks from the bakery.

Shortly after, they stopped a car in the area and arrested Val James LeClaire, 19, of Lebanon, and Dustin Andrew Brown, 17, no address available. All three were charged with robbery and conspiracy. Doug Garrett said one youth reportedly threw the bat into a nearby baseball field. One witness told authorities the bat was later picked up again by the suspects. Authorities questioned the boys, cited them with 27 separate counts of criminal mischief and released them during the weekend. The case has been referred to the Marion County Juvenile Department for review. she moved to California in 1938 and Oregon in 1992.

She worked various jobs, including working as a cook and aid at Sutter County Hospital in Yuba City, Calif. She retired after 15 years. She enjoyed quilting. She married Sol in 1924; he died in 1958. Survivors include her daughter, Leota Parker of Hardy, brother, Cecil Napier of Oakley, Idaho; thirteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

26, 1927 June 1, 1997 KEIZER Lillie Fink, 69, of Salem, died Sunday of cancer. She was born in Blakely, and moved to Oregon in 1947. She was a remedial reading teacher and active in PTA for years. She was primary president and relief society president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her husband, Don, whom she married in 1945; daughters, Donna Fink and Victoria Goesch, both of Keizer; son, Jonathan of Lake Oswego; brothers, Florizel Houston Jr.

of Lake Wales, Carrol Houston of Gresham and David Houston of Ocala, sister, Nella Pratt of Vancouver, and six grandchildren. Visiting will be 9 to 10 a.m. today in the Keizer First Ward of the church and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday in the Overlook Ward of the church in Portland. Services will be 10 a.m.

Earline Andrews April 8, 1921 June 3, 1997 Earline Andrews, 76, of Salem died Tuesday. Born in Ackerman, she came to Salem in 1952. She was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, traveling and yard work. She married Fredrick in 1963; he died in 1991. Survivors include her sons, Howard Williams of Beaverton and Robert Williams of Clackamas; sisters, Audell Miller and Maurine Baldwin, both of Salem, and Ethel Roach of Hillsboro; brother, Roy Woodard of Salem; other brothers and sisters out of state; three grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren.

Visiting will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Restlawn Funeral Home. Services will be 11 a.m.

Grand Ronde: Crash kills 1, hospitalizes 2 One Tillamook man was killed and two others were hospitalized Wednesday after a single-car crash on Highway 22 at La-Chance Road. Dead at the scene was the driver, Enrique Cortes Merino, 30. His passengers, Arturo Alejo Landeros, 22, and Romulo Ro-drigues Segure, 46, were listed in fair condition Wednesday night at Columbia Willamette Medical Center, McMinnville.

Yamhill County Sgt. Rob Nou said the wreck occurred about 5 a.m. when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and left the highway. His car crossed a creek and crashed into the embankment. A passer-by spotted the wreckage and called 911 at 5:30 a.m.

One car hit in the spree belonged to a deputy who had parked his car outside his home on 47th Avenue SE. The juveniles, whose names were not released, smashed windows and dented cars with a baseball bat the nights of April 23 and 24. Two of the juveniles told authorities that some of the cars belonged to people they knew. 18, 1904 June 3, 1997 RICKREALL Rena Haakenson, 93, died Tuesday. She was born in Tower City, and moved to North Dakota when she was six. In 1922 she married Elvin. She moved to Anacortes, in 1944. Her husband died in 1967, and she moved to Rickre-all recently.

Survivors include her sons, Robert of Rickreall and Donald of Salem; daughter, Joyce Cortani of Red Bluff, Calif; brothers, Fred and Clifford Bailey, both of Bismarck, N.D.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Evans Funeral Chapel in Anacortes. Interment will be in Mill Town Cemetery in Washington. Philip J.

Ternes July 9, 1927 June 2, 1997 Philip Ternes, 69, of Salem, died Monday at his home. The cause of death was unavailable. He was born in New Salem, N.D., and served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Salem Eagles and Elks Lodges. His wife, Elizabeth, whom he married in 1947, died in 1976.

Survivors include his daughters, Kathy Kinnischtzke and Jane Veitz, both of Bismarck, N.D., Patricia Sweet of Marcellus, N.Y., Rita Burkle of Moorhead, and Linda Zimmermann of Omaha, son, James of Hazen, N.D.; mother, Elizabeth Ternes of Portland; brothers, Frank and Aloys, both of Portland; sisters, Irene Huft, Alvina Ternes and Frances Neibauer, all of Portland, Daisey Peterson of Forsyth, Carol Kuntz of Bismarck, Angie Eckroth of Gresham, Veronica Bernhardt of Milwaukie, Florence Hearsch of Lincoln, N.D., and Rose Lidfors of Beaverton; and 12 grandchildren. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in Lincoln Memorial Park Funeral Home in Portland. Private interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Contributions: Salem Eagles Lodge.

LuVerne E. Clark May 1 1 1 909 June 3, 1997 LuVerne Clark, 88, of Salem, died Tuesday. He was born in Julesburg, and was a heavy-equipment mechanic. He moved to Oregon in 1938 and to Salem in 1942. He helped build Camp Adair and after World War II worked for John Deere and Caterpillar.

After retiring, he was a janitor at the Towers Inn for 10 years. He was a life member of the Salenf Eagles Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Frances, whom he married in 1951; daughters, Faye Barna of Scio and Violet Williams of Surprise, sons, Marvin of Vale and Delvin of Stayton; stepdaughters, Alta Willard of Moses Lake, and Shirley Shay of Ketchikan, Alaska; sister, Delia Eich-inger of Westminster, 15 grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visiting will be 5 to 8 p.m. tonight in Fisher Funeral Home in Albany.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in City View Cemetery in Salem. Interment will be in City View Cemetery. Lucille H. Tucker May 28, 191 1 June 3, 1997 GATES Lucille H.

Tucker, 86, died Tuesday. Born in Grand Junction, she moved to Gates in 1938. She worked as a housewife and at the Gates School cafeteria for many years. She was a member of the Stayton congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She married Charles on April 15, 1933; he died in 1988.

Survivors include her son, Irvin of Mill City; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. At her request no services will be held. Arrangements are by Weddle Funeral Home, Stayton. He married Karen Ingram on May 29, 1976. Survivors include his wife; sons, Gary and Dennis, both of Dallas; and daughter, Madge Roth of Phoenix.

Born in Paragould, she worked as a sales clerk and in the credit department for Montgomery Ward for more than 30 years. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She married Arvel on Aug. 15, 1926; he died in 1989. Survivors include her daughter, Emma Woodward of Aumsville; son, Charles of Santa Margareta, Calif; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

At her request no services will be held. Arrangements are by Weddle Funeral Home, Stayton. Russell E. Olson Aug. 9, 1 948 June 3, 1 997 ALBANY Russell E.

Olson, 48, died Tuesday after a short illness. Born in Portland, he grew up in Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon Union High School in 1967. He served in the Army from 1968 to 1970, including during the Vietnam War. He later attended OTI for two years, attaining an electrician degree. He worked for ten years as an electrician at Willamette Industries Griggs Division, before working for Pope and Talbot at Halsey for 14 years.

His illness forced his early retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and tennis. He married Kebbie Blaine on Sept. 1, 1972. Survivors include his wife; sons, Sean, Kyle and Danny, all of Albany; daughter, Colleen Olson of Albany; mother, Lucille Olson of Lebanon; and sister, Marlene Schmaus of Bothel, Wash.

'Curley' Lambert Aug. 29, 1 91 4 June 4, 1 997 MCMINNVILLE Armand J. Lambert, 82, died Wednesday. Born in Concordia, he moved to Oregon in 1940. He lived in McMinnville from 1948 to 1952, then in Dayton from 1952 to 1988, when he returned to McMinnville.

He was a concrete finisher in construction most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching sports. He married Mary Louise Wilcox on Dec. 26, 1935; she died in 1990. Survivors include sons, Gene, Gerry, Mike and Steve, all of McMinnville; and David of Olym-pia, daughter, Marguerite Farris, of Newberg; nineteen grandchildren; and several greatgrandchildren.

Hetland Oct. 13, 1904 June 3,1997 PORTLAND Pearl I. Hetland, 92, formerly of Silverton died Tuesday. Born in Minneapolis, she lived in Silverton from about 1945 to 1990. She was a member of the Church of God there.

Her husband, Ole, died in 1971. Survivors include her sisters, Hazel Bowen of Portland and Cora Jensen of Eugene. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Scott Funeral Home, Portland.

The Statesman Journal Three male juveniles have been cited in a rash of car vandalism that damaged more than 27 vehicles in East Salem, Marion County sheriffs officials said Wednesday. Four-vehicle pileup injures one driver The Statesman Journal A motorist sustained minor injuries during a four-vehicle collision on Silverton Road NE, east of 76th Avenue NE, Wednesday afternoon. Authorities said a driver on Silverton Road NE failed to see that traffic was stopped at a construction site, and rear-ended another vehicle.

Two other cars following the one that failed to stop also wound up in a pile-up. The name of the driver, who was transported to a hospital by ambulance, was not available Wednesday. Marion County sheriffs deputies said that they suspect another vehicle may have been involved in the accident, but the motorist left the scene before emergency crews arrived.
